ABOUT INLINE HOCKEY

Inline hockey, a variation of ice hockey, is played on plastic sports tiles with players wearing inline skates instead of ice skates. While the rules are largely similar to those of ice hockey, there are a few key differences: inline hockey is played four-on-four instead of five-on-five, and there are no offsides, icing, body checking, or fighting. The equipment also closely resembles that used in ice hockey, though players wear inline hockey pants instead of ice hockey shorts and typically skip shoulder pads. However, goalies use the same equipment as they would in ice hockey.
